2因為是中英對照，索性都以讀英文為主。雖然是看書，可是卻感覺剛剛親身聽過Renzo Piano演講一樣。Renzo Piano幽默的個性從談話中表露無疑，我從這篇張Renzo Piano地談話中，了解學習到很多不只是建築也關於做人做事的想法和態度。
Renzo Piano分享他所擁有的靈感泉源是他在義大利漁港的童年，所以他一開始追求的是輕盈而靈巧、於瞬間消逝、不停變換的東西，他說:「Somebody once said,that in childhood-when you’re small-you have really done everything.You then spend the rest of your life digging back into what you’ve been when you were a child.So I think is essential for everyone to understand that you should not forget where you come from,where you were born,and what things belong to you,not to somebody else.In other words,don’t do like me.Don’t do like Mr.Ando,don’t do like Mr.Ohno.Do like you!Don’t take the example of antbody.You have to build your own autonomy. 」他所要闡述的是”根”對於一個人的影響，當我看完這段文字時我想:我的童年有什麼？我的家鄉帶給我什麼？他們在我的內心影響了我什麼？這會是一個深沉自我探討的思考，而我從中得到的將會是只有我擁有，而且是我跟別人不同的元素。

Renzo Piano也提到一些他覺得年輕建築師需要具備的要件，第一個是要有足夠的「competent」和「curious」去做決定。他說到:「I think you should understand “youself”.Autonomy is fundamental,and unfortunately it’s not easy,because to be autonomous you have to have two important qualities:one is to be curious about life,another thing is you have to be bloody competent.
You have to be obstinate but at the same time,light,permeable.The intellingence must be light,must be done in such way that you listen to people,you listen to everything.」

我覺得不管以後做什麼，這可能是我現在還有未來都要學習的。其中有些道理我懂，但時常會在處理事情的時候忘記，仍需要時常提醒自己。當Renzo Piano在這裡提到competent時我想到他說到的一句: Architecture is like an iceberg,and the visible part is very little,but all of the part below is the one that makes architecture.所以不能只專注於學校上的建築的課程這區塊，更應該要廣泛去接觸其他知識，哪怕跟建築毫無關係，都可能是以後做設計時的素材，不過學習知識是需要花不少的時間，時間的調適和自我要求可能是我目前最大的問題。

老師常常說我們不夠創意不夠會玩，我想跟Renzo Piano提到的「知性的好奇心」應該大同小異吧？「Architecture is even more like that-archtitecture without all that content.And this content is life!So,you have to be very curious.」但Renzo Piano也強調一天當中要留給自己一次安靜獨處的時間，不是接收大量訊息，而是試著想想週遭的事物，什麼是重要和什麼是不重要。
讀完這篇文章後，我將剛剛從文中抄下來的句子重看一遍，Renzo Piano具說服力和幽默的談話迴盪在我心中，覺得對於現在剛踏入建築領域的我來說應該是非常受用了。
